2024 QMLA Recreational League Details

For more information about days of play for recreational league lacrosse, see below or go to Recreational League Days of Play

The QMLA recreational league program is designed to introduce and promote the sport of lacrosse in a fun, friendly and engaging environment.

This program allows all players to practice and play against players in their own age division and skill level.  Box Lacrosse recreational league is open to boys and girls age 3-12 (birth years 2012-2021), with a girls-only program for birth years 2008-2011.

Note that we will not be offering recreational play for boys U17.  It is our goal to develop our volunteer and officiating base that will allow us to successfully operate these divisions in the future.

Recreational program will begin April 7th.  Players will receive a minimum of 3 hours development from experienced instructors before team practices and games begin on April 28th.  Teams will be on the floor twice each week, with one practice and one game.

Competitive (rep) lacrosse is available for all ages pending interest (excluding U5/U7).  Competitive players in U9-U13 will not participate in recreational league play.  If you are interested in playing in our competitive club program, please click  here for more information.

QMLA partners with our neighbouring associations in Tyendinaga, Northumberland and Kingston to provide the best experience for our players.  There will be special fun days where our teams will compete against each other.

Additionally, if we have enough interest and numbers, we can try to accommodate practices and games in other arenas (i.e. Trenton, Stirling, Picton, etc) for players local to those communities.  Another reason to get your friends out and play together while trying a new sport!  Players will be placed on a team based on geography unless otherwise requested or there is no space available.

All QMLA divisions are co-ed up to U13 unless specified otherwise.
